About myself

My name is Klaudia Walczak. I’m from Poland where I have recently graduated from the
Public High School of Lodz University of Technology. I am into science, especially physics and
chemistry, but I also love mathematics. Next year, I am going to fulfill my dream of studying
Aerospace Engineering. My ultimate goal and dream is to travel to space and provide
research in microgravity on ISS or future space stations. I would like to start my career by
working in JPL where I could focus on inventing new devices and vehicles which can help
scientists explore Mars and other planets.

One of my proudest achievements is a miniature model of a stationary Mars base that
includes a virtual walk around the base that I have prepared for the competition. I am also
carrying out research on the changes in the luminosity of the stars in binary systems.

When it comes to my pastimes, I enjoy sailing, playing the guitar, traveling around the
world, and doing night sky photography.
